Netpliance no longer produces this 'Internet appliance', which is a small, simplified PC (compact keyboard base, 10"-diagonal color LCD display with the motherboard behind). Its firmware comes with QNX (a compact Unix) programmed for easy Internet use, and it can be modified in many ways for use under Windows, Linux and more. It can make the Internet easy for that relative that needs a helping hand. Or, it's a hacker's dream!

This i-Opener is the original version, with only a few hours of use. We planned to add a hard drive, an infrared wireless keyboard, and a USB Ethernet adapter. Then we got busy wtih other projects, and set this one aside with all the original equipment. All those parts are included, as well as a few tips for the barely-begun project.
